CBAM Reports
What is CBAM?
CBAM is a Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism through which the European Union applies the same carbon costs to products imported from non-EU countries. This instrument prevents the relocation of production to countries outside the European Union to evade environmental standards and ensures a level playing field for all manufacturers.

Why is CBAM important for your business?
From January 1, 2026. export to the EU without CBAM reporting will not be possible for certain industries. As early as October 2023. Mandatory reporting begins, with the first reporting deadline on January 31, 2024. Timely preparation is key to maintaining competitiveness in the EU market.

Mandatory industries
CBAM is mandatory in six key sectors: the production of iron/steel, cement, aluminum, fertilizers, electricity, and hydrogen.

Reporting system
Reporting includes data on the quantity of goods, direct and indirect CO2 emissions, the methodology for measuring and calculating emissions, enabling accurate determination of the carbon footprint.

Financial aspect
The current price of CO2 in the EU is approximately 80 EUR per ton. Different industries have varying emissions – for example, producing one ton of steel generates 1.5–2 tons of CO2, which significantly impacts the final product’s price.

Practical benefits of timely preparation
Timely preparation for CBAM reporting enables the optimization of production processes and the reduction of emissions before the full implementation of the mechanism. Companies that adapt in time can significantly reduce future export costs, maintain competitiveness in the EU market, and ensure the long-term sustainability of their business. Additionally, early implementation opens up the opportunity to be recognized as a reliable and environmentally responsible partner.
